Quantum cryptography potentially allows the ability to distribute keys in an information-secure way, which is beyond the abilities of classical cryptography. Security of quantum key distribution against sophisticated attacks is among the most important issues in quantum information theory. In this talk we present the basics of quantum key distribution and discuss its security against collective and joint attacks. |
